For soccer to gain acceptance in mainstream American sports coaches need to treat the dissemination of information such as records and goals as a priority. If they are not interested in doing the work themselves they should assign the task to someone on either their staff, the booster club, a teacher on campus, the athletic director or a friend to do so on their behalf. More kids are competing in youth soccer than football, basketball & baseball but the sport is not given its equal due in newspapers.
