CIF Div 2 Semis Scores In.....
Valley View gets past Coachella Valley @ CV in OT 2-1 and Capistrano Valley gets past La Sierra 2-1 scoring two goals in the last five minutes of the match to advance to their second consecutive trip to the finals. Congratulations to both teams, it takes so much to make it to the finals!

CIF Div 3 Girls Sierra League Well Represented in Playoffs
In the Quarter finals matches today all four of the Sierra league representatives will be playing. Representing the Sierra League is Claremont, St. Lucy's, Chino Hills & Ayala. Unfortunately South Hills who were 5th in the league did not get an at-large bid because they too would probably still be around in the playoffs as well. Later tonight we will find out if we have an ALL-Sierra League Semi Finals.

The Pursuit for #1.
Claremont steadily climbed up the CIF Div 3 polls reaching number 3 on the last poll. They currently are 25-1-3. Early in the season they reached a number USA ranking by Maxpreps Sports, even thought they were not being considered in their own CIF Div 3 polls, though the polls caught up with one another later in the season. Claremont has an eleven match unbeaten streak going.
Ayala the #2 Sierra League representative is currently 13-8-5. They lost both of their league matches with Claremont but toppled #5 rated 22-3-1 Quartz Hills this past Tuesday. Today they play #4 rated 20-4-4 Bishop Amat. Can they become the first double twenty game slayers?
Chino Hills the #3 representative from the Sierra League was 9-4-4 at the beginning of the playoffs. They beat #8 rated Prep League #1 (15-2-2) Flintridge Prep in the first round and then on Tuesday beat #9 rated Suburban League #1 (19-6-3) La Mirada.
17-8-2 St. Lucy's the wild card representative from the Sierra League beat the #2 rated Del Rey #1 St. Josephs in the first round of the playoffs after winning a wild card game match. On Tuesday they beat Mayfair HS 4-1.

Claremont's season comes to an end at La Sierra 1-0. Claremont is 45-5-6 over the past two seasons. La Sierra scored off a header in the 10th minute of play and the score held up.

Boys 2012 CIF Div 2 First Round Match Claremont vs Tustin
2012 CIF Div 2 First Round Match Highlights between Claremont & Tustin HS. The match was played on Thursday 2-16-2012. Claremont won the match 2-1. All of the goals were scored after the 75th minute.
Girls CIF Div 3 Match Claremont vs Bishop Montgomery
2012 Girls CIF Div 3 Soccer Match between Claremont HS and Biship Montgomery HS. Claremont won the match 3-0. Claremont winner of the Sierra League is 23-1-3 and Bishop Montgomery ends its season at 7-9-2. Claremont's next match will be on Wednesday 2-22, 3 PM @Pasadena Poly. Pasadena Poly is currently 18-3 finishing second in the Prep League behind Flintridge Prep. Flintridge Prep lost to Chino Hills on Friday. Chino Hills was the Sierra Leagues fourth place team representative.
